Brain Awareness Week Recruitment

Come one, come all!

The Society for Neuroscience Ottawa Chapter is currently recruiting upper year undergraduate and graduate student volunteers to give presentations for our annual Brain Awareness Week. This year our school Brain Awareness Week presentations will take place during the week of March 5th to 9th, 2018. Each presentation will last approximately one hour. The presentations will be tailored to students enrolled in science classes, focusing on a variety of topics including the neuroscience of drug addiction, memory, sleep, and concussions. The selected presentations have already been created based on textbook information and have been validated by faculty members at Carleton University. As a student presenter from our society you will also conduct demonstrations and interactive activities in order to spark student interest in the brain and neurological sciences.

These presentations are a great time and have been among the highlights of many of our previous Neuroscience students. If you are interested in participating in Brain Awareness Week, please complete the Online Form https://goo.gl/forms/sAOupB1CRNRnuFgP2 no later than February 14th. You can present alone or with your friend. Presentation time slots are subject to your availability, and will be confirmed via email in early March. Feel free to reach out to us at brain.awareness.sfn@gmail.com for more information.

Hope to hear from you.
