Brain & Mental Health Art Show

Brain and Mental Health Art Show 2024

Beginning in 2010, the Brain and Mental Health Art Show has been a long-standing tradition that brings together the scientific and mental health communities in Ottawa through art. The Art Show will return on May 4, 2024, at the Glebe Community Centre.

This year, all funds raised will benefit Centre 507, a local organization that has served the community for over four decades. They provide referrals to health and housing resources, as well as comfort, care, and free nutritious meals six days per week. Their 80 volunteers serve 1800 meals a week and 93,600 meals per year. Centre 507 will be soon increasing their hours to seven days a week, 365 days a year, to better support the needs of the community.

The art submission form is NOW OPEN and will remain open until April 1! We accept all forms of physical art (e.g., paintings, photography, mixed media, ceramics, glasswork, crochet, etc.) and artists of any age and skill level are welcome.

The Art Show returned in 2022 after a two-year suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were thrilled to welcome over 500 attendees, received more than 130 art donations, and raised over $12,000 in support of the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Center.

2019

Thank you to everyone who came out to the 2019 Art Show! We had a great time with over 700 people who attended, and we were able to raise $10,000 to support Ancoura! This year was our most successful yet! We couldn’t have done it without all the amazing artists and volunteers that Ottawa has to offer!

We would also like to extend our gratitude to our wonderful sponsors that supported this year’s show:
