The Brain Health Research Day brings together the broad research community of the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute (uOBMRI). The day features a keynote address from a world-renowned leader in brain health, speakers from our various partners, trainee posters presentations, workshops and highlights and updates from the uOBMRI. Brain Health Research Day is one step in bringing together researchers, clinicians and students with a shared goal to create one of the world's top centres for neuroscience and the treatment of brain disorders.
BHRD 2016 was hosted at Carleton University. Our keynote speaker was Dr. Tracy Bale – Professor of Neuroscience, Centre for Neurobiology and Behavior, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bale presented a very interesting lecture titled, “Stressed Parents: Sperm and Placental Epigenetic Programming of Neurodevelopment.”
BHRD 2017 will be hosted at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Social Sciences building on Thursday June 1st, 2017. More details will follow closer to the date.
