SfN Ottawa is very pleased and happy to announce that we have won the Chapter of the Year for 2018 from the international Society for Neuroscience at their 2018 symposium in San Diego, CA!

Our success is entirely due to a highly dedicated team of student volunteers, and the support of faculty and staff at Carleton University’s department of Neuroscience.  This award recognizes the many outreach activities undertaken by the Ottawa chapter, in support of neuroscience education and mental health initiatives in the Ottawa area!  Huge props to Alfonso Abizaid, our faculty sponsor for his tireless support and chapter leadership.  You can read more about our chapter activities and how this award supports our ongoing efforts in this great article at the Carleton University Newsroom.
