If you are a faculty member, contract instructor, undergraduate student (2nd/3rd/4th year), or graduate student, do consider partaking in delivering a presentation on the brain to Ottawa’s elementary and high school students! Our 2024 event will take place from March 4th to 8th and will be held in person. No previous experience necessary. Volunteers will work in pairs to deliver a presentation to a small group of students. All presentation materials and training will be provided.
Brain Awareness is coming to the Museum of Science & Technology!
In addition, March 13 to 15 from 11am to 3pm we will be doing interactive Backyard Brain demos at the Museum of Science & Technology, including the robotic claw, human-to-human interface, mini-EEG, and reaction time tests. We are looking for volunteers to help us run this event. Our volunteers often have just as much fun as the children participating. We are looking for undergraduate and graduate students studying neuroscience or a related discipline to volunteer. No previous experience necessary, and all training will be provided.
French volunteers needed! The Museum of Science & Technology is a national museum, which means we need a minimum of one French-speaking volunteer per day. If you speak French, you are strongly encouraged to apply.
