Calling Ottawa Area Teachers – Sign up now for Brain Awareness Week!

As part of a global annual event, every year volunteers from SfN Ottawa go out to schools to teach eager young minds about the brain and inspire an interest in neuroscience and STEM careers.  Last year we presented to over 2500 students!

If you are a teacher in an Ottawa area school and would like us to give your class a FREE presentation on the brain during the week of March 4-8, please REGISTER NOW (before February 8, 2019) and we’ll do our best to connect you with a volunteer. Find out more on our Brain Awareness Week Page.

Please note that SfN Ottawa hosts our Brain Awareness Week in the week prior to the International event, due to the fact that the International BAW falls during the Ottawa School District’s March Break.  During March break, from March 12-15, you can also find us behind the demo stage at The National Museum of Science and Technology (from 10am to 2pm) with our Backyard Brains kits and super fun demos!
